{ “My Friends Tigger and Pooh”: Theme Song Lyrics }
Published by Shai | Filed under Music and Sounds

Kids stuff inspire me. I think I’d always love kids TV, books, songs, movies and art. To me, part of the beauty of parenthood is that I get a legitimate excuse to watch Nick Jr. and Playhouse Disney.
In fact, that’s how I learn all about the latest kids’ interests. My 3.5 year old keeps me updated. He keeps me in touch with what little boys love - like aeroplanes, Thomas The Tank Engine, and more. And, I’m sure my baby girl will get me up to speed with Bratz and Barbies when she’s old enough. Well, unless she doesn’t take to dolls and girly stuff.
Anyway, one of my son’s latest favourites is “My Friends Tigger and Pooh“, a Disney show for kids which launched last May 2007. This show is currently #2 favourite, second only to Little Einsteins (another Disney production).
Like any kid watching these shows, my son loves to sing all the theme songs of the shows he loves. He memorised “Bob The Builder” theme as a two year old. And, early this year, he has memorised the “Little Einsteins” theme. He even made up lyrics to “Thomas the Tank Engine”.
Right now, he’s trying to learn the lyrics of “My Friends Tigger and Pooh”. Since it’s quite a lengthy kids’ show song, it’s proving to be quite a challenge to memorise. And last night, he kept asking me and my husband about the show’s lyrics. So, today, I decided to Google for the lyrics. And, for some reason, I can’t find the lyrics!
But, I did find a video of Disney’s promotional music video for the show. The theme song is performed by Kay Hanley. Written by Andy Sturmer. I listened to the music over and over (as if I don’t hear it enough!), and decided to write down the lyrics so I can give it to my boy. And, I thought in case I’m not the only parent trying to look for the song lyrics, I decided to share the words to “My Friends Tigger and Pooh” right here. Not sure if these are the right words. I just wrote what I heard. I was just particularly confused about the line with Eeyore in it. I can’t tell if “Eeyore has a part to lend” was the right line or not.
Anyway, for more information about the show, see this and this. Here’s the theme song video from YouTube (lyrics below):
My Friends Tigger and Pooh Theme Song
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
We’re always there for each other
You’ll see just how fun it can be
With so much in the world to discover
And if I need help on the way
Buster might save the day
Or Piglet, Lumpy or Roo
Eeyore has a paw to lend
Rabbit has an ear to bend
Now all we’re missing is you…
Hooray it’s a honey-ful day
So let’s laugh and let’s play here together
With My Friends Tigger and Pooh
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
(To Fade)

Hi. That was very thoughtful of you to put these up for other people searching for them!
However, I think you have a couple words wrong: I think it’s “so much in the WOOD to discover (you know, the Hundred Acre Wood), and I think Eeyore has a PAW to lend, not part (he even lifts his paw at that part in the song).
I’ve got a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old daughter, and I think this show is fantastic.

The BBC has published a touching and interesting story about the boy who does voiceovers for Lumpy–”Beating the odds to become a child actor”.

My kids love this show too. We (my 3 year old and I) thought the line about Eeyore was, “Eeyore has a paw to lend.” Not that it matters if we are singing the wrong words. I just love hearing them sing - they usually get the words wrong anyway.

This listing of lyrics is great, but who is the singer? There is a blond woman walking around with a guitar singing the song in the intro.

We love this song too. Of course we have all of the characters. The only thing we are missing is the music CD of the theme song. However, knowing that preschool children don’t care what kind of voice you have, it would still be nice to pop in the CD while driving in the car to sing along with! Please let me know if anyone finds anything!
